Prinicipal investigator grant, Austrian Science Fund (449,214€)
This 4-year Research Grant is the first research grant awarded to the Social Neuroecology Lab at the University of Vienna (est June 2026). By combining comparative neuroimaging with innovative analyses of brain function and organization, we will investigate whether the remarkable social abilities of dogs and primates arise from convergent brain mechanisms, advancing our understanding of the neural foundations and evolution of social cognition.
